Description :

The original 1988 French market 205 Rallye was a homologation special, which was built purely for the 1,300cc class of international rallying. Peugeot revived the name in 1992 on a UK market special edition, which at only £7,995 was something of a performance bargain. It used 1.4XS running gear in a 1.1 STYLE bodyshell but borrowed the original's painted metal aesthetic.

The example modelled is owned by enthusiast Matthew Gibson from Bournemouth who bought it in September 2011 in a poor state. He is in the process of restoring and sympathetically modifying the car and has already fitted a reconditioned engine, an improved braking system and restored those distinctive yellow-painted steel wheels.

Description :

The 205 GTI modelled here is owned by enthusiast Craig Alexander from Shropshire who bought it in February 2008 when taking a break from his studies. He initially intended to tidy it up and put it on the road because it drove reasonably well, although issues such as its unappealing faux-leather seats and missing driving lights needed attention. However, this soon turned into a full strip down, restoration and rebuild. The car returned to the road on 1st September 2008, just in time for Craig to renew his architecture studies. It has since been featured in Classics Monthly and is now kept as a second car for Peugeot Sport Club UK events and other pleasure motoring.

Description :

Peugeot announced the Griffe 205 at the 1990 Paris Salon. It featured metallic green Fluorite paint, dark grey anodized alloy wheels and matching bumper inserts, as well as a dark grey leather interior and carpets, ABS, unique badges and PAS. It was only sold in mainland Europe and 1,652 were made, 526 of which were exported outside France.

The Griffe modelled here is owned by enthusiast Romuald Sainthérand from Vendee who has owned it since October 2003. It was in good original condition and did not need restoring although he has improved the car in detail. D'autre part l'immatriculation est inexacte : il faut 9403 WS 85.
